From november 7, 2025 to Feburary 2, 2026 at New England Regional Art Museum, i’m curating how to weather together an exhibition that accompanies a book of the same title. The book was co-authored with Astrida Neimanis and with illustrations by tessa zettel.
I haven’t curated anything of this scale myself. In the past I’ve been involved in curating festivals like tiny stadiums (Pact theatre) and time machine (Serial Space), and programming of seasons of plays at the old fitz, but here I’m working directly with Neram Director Rachael Parsons to present the exhibition. It’s an interesting process and different to curating performance work.
The overall idea of the show is the book, but what aspects of the book sit at the centre and are highlighted is a big question. we’ve landed on a hybrid of works by Astrida, Tessa and myself, and other artists working in adjacent ways. It’s become a big group show with hybrid forms. the works below are by Tessa Zettel, Aunty Rhonda Dixon/Clare Britton/Astrida Neimanis and Rae Haynes respectively. They will all take part on the exhibition.
