Weathering Talk and Workshop AT ANU

On SEptember 28 2026, I was invited to come to the Sociology group at ANU to give a book talk. It was a wonderful opportunity to share the work with a group of sociologists, writers and artists and cross-disciplinary Phd students. I gave a book talk similar to the one Astrida and I gave at the SEI. But also ran a weathering workshop using some of the insets from the book – we did lucky Dip and Close Meteorology. Adrian made a Delicious cake.

What was hilarious about this workshop is it was a mix of folks from sociology and Art students and academics, and when we did close meteorology as if like some kind of cosmic cliche the sociologists followed the rules of the method and the artists made up their own. Making up their own rules yielded interesting results. it all made sense and it was a nice complement to the results of the folks who followed the rules.

Thank you to Dr Thao Phan for the Invite, croissants and the extra bunting.
